The Mark of the Cursed
Its the beating of ravenous hearts,
Bleeding together
In sync
With the adrenaline pulsing
Through decaying veins.
Its the lusting hunger
That comes from beneath,
The hollow ache,
Drawn from within.
A blackened rose,
Decrepit and withered,
Wrought iron thorns
That cut like razorblades.
The softest flesh,
Fragile and paper thin,
Drawing the oily acid blood
To the surface to breathe.
Acrid and toxic,
The labored breath
In my shriveled lungs
Polluted by hateful truths
And painful realities.
Something beneath the surface
Is calling to me,

So for those of you who don't know yet, I'm going to be a zoo intern this summer! ~foxyayzplz (https://www.deviantart.com/foxyayzplz)
I am SUPER excited because I didn't even think I'd be considered for the position and when they called me up Monday and said it was mine if I was still interested!
This position was the better of the two that I applied for. It's a paid internship in my hometown, so I can live at home (meaning I won't have to pay for food, housing, laundry, etc). I also get to keep my other job and work in the studio on my days off!
I'm also really excited because during the summer I'll basically work as a zookeeper, and I get most of the privileges as well! I
I am quite literally jumping for joy!
I received a call early this morning to set up an interview for an internship position at the zoo in my hometown! This is literally the best news I could have gotten this week! I thought for sure I wasn't going to even get an interview for the position, but I'm meant to show up Sunday to speak with the curator.
Since it is at home not only can I save money by not having to buy my own groceries or pay for housing, but it is also a paid internship, and on top of that I can keep my job and work at the studio on my days off! That is, granted I get the position.
Ah! Send me all the positive energy guys! L
I am heavily swamped with coursework with a midterm on the horizon (aka tomorrow OTL) and as if I wasn't stressed out enough I found out about a volunteer position for the wildlife rehab center in my city and at first glance it was EVERYTHING I had hoped for and more. Upon further inspection it goes well past my move in date for my university out of town. =I
I can not stress how badly I want this position, but I have already spoken with the coordinator and I am REQUIRED to volunteer the whole fives months from June through October. Since my move in date is late August that means for two months of the position I would be two hours away so I'd
